« Japan-Ghana Seascapes, Global History of Container Shipping », conférence d‘Annette Skovsted Hansen (Université d’Aarhus).
This talk explores how seascapes meet at the port of Tema in Ghana in ways that entangle national histories as to tie them in a knot and obstruct the writing of history.
Annette Skovsted Hansen is Associate Professor of Japanese and Global History at Aarhus University, Denmark, since 2005. She recieved a BA in Japanese Studies at the University of Copenhagen, a double MA in History and International Education at Columbia University (1992) and a PhD in Columbia University (2001).
Before returning to academia she worked at the United Nations Headquarters, 1991-1998. Her current research on focuses on Japan in the global networks engendered by Japanese.
